Loft with a view

The residents’ main desire was to have a loft-like space where they’d always want to be. The design makes this possible by accommodating many activities in one large space: simple and elaborate dining, entertaining, cooking, reading and working. The enormous picture window in the main space looks out over Edmonton’s Mill Creek Ravine. These superb and widest possible views are like an ever-changing live painting.
To make the large living space feasible in the design, the rest of the house is built in split-levels. The main loft space has the stairwell shaft as its centre.
